Join three universally acclaimed science-fiction novelists, Annalee Newitz (Lambda award winner, contributing opinion editor for the New York Times, founder of io9), Sarah Pinsker (two-time Nebula award winner, singer-songwriter), and Mike Chen (praised by NPR, Kirkus Reviews, Library Journal, former DJ/musician) for a conversation + Q&amp;A on the future of live events. What have we lost, perhaps permanently, by avoiding live events during this pandemic? How will people come together physically in the wake of universal pandemic trauma? What have we learned during this hiatus from live events that we want to hold onto? Are there any aspects of the live music experience that we should use this opportunity to drop or improve? Tune in for extended musings on these questions and more! Books by all three authors will be available for purchase through Visible Voice Books up to, during, and after the event.Mahall&#x27;s is one of the oldest continuously operating bowling alleys in the country, a music venue, dance club, community activism space, art gallery, and anything else the people want it to be. Visible Voice Books is an independent bookstore with an emphasis on fiction, modern poetry, art, music, film, counter culture, and current events. The 2,300 square foot store anchoring Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood holds an inventory of new and used books exceeding 7,000 titles. Literary Cleveland is a non-profit committed to helping writers and readers explore other voices and discover their own—creating a vital, diverse and supportive literary community in Northeast Ohio. We do that by offering classes, workshops, craft talks, readings, mixers, conferences, publishing opportunities, community-building programs and more for writers and readers of all backgrounds and interests.
